TreeRefiner Webpart

The "TreeRefiner Webpart" extends the Sharepoint search center and allows for better navigation in term trees.

The TreeRefiner Webpart extends the standard refiner webpart and visualises the terms in the hierarchical context of the term-tree. Users can select terms in the hierarchy to drill down or drill up in the search results. This webpart makes use of managed metadata. This refinement webpart has these advantages over standard SharePoint-Search:

The terms contained in the search results are presented in their tree-context
Users can easily drill-up or drill-down in the tree to broaden or narrow the search

Neues Release v2.1 Semantic Search Webparts for SharePoint (10. October 2018)

The new release of the Semantic Search Webparts allows users to search for all documents that have been tagged with a particular term, just by clicking on that term in the TermTree Refiner Webpart. This is not possible with Sharepoint OOTB which requires to enter a search term first before a refinement value can be applied. Your benefit: your user can easily browse your content.

The terms from the termstore are displayed as a tree in a refinement webpart.

Users can select terms in the hierarchy to drill down or drill up in the search results. This webpart makes use of managed metadata. This refinement webpart has these advantages over standard SharePoint-Search:

The webpart autoamtically expands for large term trees.

Termstore term sets can become really large. The webpart automatically expands during mouse over to display as much as possible to the user.

The "Static Tree"-option allows users to navigate through the corpus without entering a search term.

Browse the Sharepoint corpus similar to the metadata navigation in libraries. The configuration option "Static Tree" of the TreeRefiner webpart offers a way to navigate through your entire Sharepoint corpus like the metadata navigation feature which only works for individual libraries (ref. [1]). In contrast to the standard refiners, this option displays _all_ terms contained in a term set, not only these which are contained in the result set. The advantage over a standard search center in Sharepoint:

You can easily explore the Sharepoint corpus wihtout entering a search term.

Filter large term sets super fast by entering a filter term.

Users can enter a string in the filter field to quickly search for specific terms in the term tree. Search results in the tree are highlighted.

Selected refiner values are listed below the search box.

The QueryFacets Webpart displays the list of selected refiner values below the search box. This allows users to see all current refinement value on a glimpse. the advantage over the standard search center:

Users don't have to inspect each refinement webpart for activated refinement values.

1. One-off license fee

The license fee is a one-off fee, and entitles you to use a particular version of the product in one single Shraepoint site for an unlimited period of time which has the maximum specified number of users.
- You can always upgrade to a license which supports an unlimited number of users, and you only pay the difference.
- You can always upgrade to a higher license, and you only pay the difference.
- You have a one year guarantee that covers errors of the product.
- You have the right to obtain Minor Releases of the products: e.g. if you have obtained a license for version 2.0.0, then you have access to version 2.0.1 but not to 2.1.0.
- If you want to get access to new major releases, then you require the Software Insurance.

2. Software Insurance

The Software Insurance entitles you to obtain all releases of the software product that are published during a calendar year.
- You pay the fee per year. At the end of the year, the contract automatically extends by another year.

3. Bug fixing support

The Support Contract is valid for one year and gives you a priority access to bug fixes.
- If you face a problem with the product you enter a support inquiry into the DIQA Ticket System. The DIQA team starts with the assessment and assigns the issue to the classes: 1) blocker 2) major 3) normal.
- We start working on Blockers within 8 hours (during normal business times in Germany, Major Bugs during 2 work days and Normal Bugs during 1 month.
